Great Centenary Air Rally 2010

It all began 100 years ago on March 18th 1910 at Diggers Rest in Victoria, when Harry Houdini made the 1st recorded controlled powered flight in Australia. 

Here is your unique chance to take part in one of the most important aviation events on the calendar, ..The Centenary of Flight Great Air Rally.

The rally is designed for pilots and crew to have fun while flying to some of Australias most important aviation destinations.

It all starts with a visit to the RAAF museum at Point Cook (the oldest continually operating military aerodrome in the world), before overflying Diggers Rest

almost to the minute 100years later than Houdini's first flight. The First day is finished with a guest aviation speaker at the Centenary Rally Dinner.

The 2nd day is via Shepparton, Wangaratta to Wagga Wagga to tour REx airlines new multi million dollar airline training facility. After overnighting at Wagga  the 3rd day

the Rally makes its way to Temora for Lunch and check out the aircraft collection including the still flying Spitfire, Sabre and Canberra. The evening is at Narromine where

we will see the Replica of the original Wright flyer. The 4th day is to Roma in Qld.  via morning tea at Moree and lunch at St George. The 5th Day is onto Longreach with a full tour of the QANTAS museum (the museum boasts both a Boeing 747 and 707 as part of the display) and evening dinner with a special speaker from the QANTAS museum.

The final day of the Rally via Emerald to Bundaberg to the brand new Hinkler Museum for the finale dinner and presentations.
